Hi, I’m an aspiring teenage author.
A year ago, I wrote a story about my cat, from her POV, surrounding some of the crazy things that happened to her over the course of her life. I finished it last summer, but then realized I didn’t know if it was really fiction or nonfiction. It is written in verse style, from Brown Sugar (the cat)’s POV, and all of the events are real, but obviously all of her thoughts and such aren’t. Would you consider that fiction or nonfiction book?

I’d say fiction. Almost historical fiction, since you took real events but put an imaginative spin on them. But probably not long enough ago to really be considered “historical.” 😉
