Hey everyone. The Winter Writing Challenge has been a blast, I don’t want it to end!! I realize how fulfilled I am when I can post my works, and people can vote, comment, critique it. It gives me the encouragement I need to keep writing.
That being said, what are y’all’s thoughts on online writing communities? As a Christian, my major concern would be joining one, only to be bombarded with inappropriate stories or nasty messages from unbelievers. Are there any Christian versions of WattPad for instance, where one can expect wholesome forums and equally wholesome writers to engage with you when you post stories?
Scribophile seems highly rated, anyone try that before? Or Writeseen? I need a place for my fiction pieces to land other than in my family’s laps. (:

I know there are some Christian writing forums out there–some might be free, a lot (like the OYAN forums) are private/paid, or curriculum-exclusive. It’s quite possible there are some Christian writing groups on Discord that you’d be able to join, but I haven’t done much research.
Once upon a time, The Company did run a writing forum, but it was a little clunky and fairly inactive, as I recall. But the Facebook group is still alive and well! I’m not sure if anyone’s posted their stories in there, but it’d be worth tagging and asking Brad! Here’s the Facebook group link: (20+) The Company Secrets | Facebook

You are totally welcome to post things in the Facebook group and ask for feedback! I always imagined this would be a way that we would use the group, but haven’t had many takers so far. When you post, just be clear what you’re looking for. Are you looking for encouragement, hard critique, just sharing? I’d love for you to post it there!
I should try setting up a Facebook Account, I’m stuck in the Dark Ages and only use email and text messaging to keep in touch with people. (: Thanks for the tip Noah!
Oh my goodness this is exactly what I want to build!! I’m a beginner developer and I’ve been thinking about this so much — a Christian writing community where you just KNOW it’s going to be safe and the people are going to be kind. Would you actually use something like that if it existed?? Because I’ve been seriously thinking about making something like this.💻
