Alli Prince
Office party gifts
Wrapped Holiday bags piled high
Guess which one’s a dud
I GOT THE BEST GIFT
THANK YOU FOR NOT CHOOSING MINE
MY REINDEER NOSE SHINES!
Which one should I choose
Of all the fancy gift bags?
Drat, I got a rock
Merry Christmas Charlie Brown:)
I laughed out loud reading this! Great job!
Hey great. Thanks Karen.
I’m sure I’ll find some use for
…whatever this is.
Imagine my shock
When the bag I bought contained
Nothing I could use.
The sarcasm is so thick I need a knife. (: Very good take on white elephants!
I see we went for the same angle lol
I’ll take the red box.
Did I make a big mistake?
I did; give me yours!
Day 5, Haiku
What is that gift?
We shift, pass, and laugh out loud!
Elephants find homes.
bgc.
Perfectly wrapped gift
Evoking childlike wonder
I have been deceived!
Festive wrapping hides,
Something totally useless,
No gift but laughter.
Dog sniffs 19’s bag,
Which holds a red and gold box:
A cold Happy Meal.
Gross, but hilarious! (:
Which present to choose?
Two gold ribbons catch my eye
Do I steal it? Yes!
Inch thick in ducktape,
Was anything within it?
Hopes were not too high.
Choose, groan, hope for steal
Grinch socks, Milk Duds, last chance…
Dark chocolate truffles!
That would make me happy!
Dice roll for the gift
Double numbers for the win
What surprise is this?
Wrapped in promise, boxed delight,
Something good, merry and bright?
Jack in box – gave me a fright!
A shake, listen, wait
Closing crowd, baited breath, groan
Broken toy revealed
Heart pounding unwrapped
Odd object secretively hid
From roomful of eyes
It looked so pretty there
Festive paper tied up with shiny ribbon
Oh look…I got…this?
What beast is this then?
A Pachyderm of snow white
All wrap’d in a bow!
