I put up outdoor Christmas decorations, and a few indoor ones as well.
I decorated a small Christmas tree for the first time in 10 years. Just suddenly got in the mood. Merry Christmas, y’all!!
Departure day! We full time RV and are heading to Texas for the winter. Then a little tour about. Thinking that listening to some Christmas music sounds like an activity I can do while we drive! Thank you for the rest day and the discount.
I’ve been reading some books that have been gathering dust on my TBR pile for a while. While reading, I am looking at writing styles to see what works vs what doesn’t.
My husband amd I are running a small charitable “adopt a child” program for our small town. I was feeling a little discouraged by the response from friends and family, all of who we support and donate too avidly throughout the year.
I don’t want to say that I think people are forgetting the selflessness of the season, but I do think we are becoming an inherently selfish society, and that makes me sad.
But tonight we went to a walk-through light show, had some yummy snacks and hot drinks, and really felt the season again. I’m looking forward to spending Christmas Eve and morning with my husband, and being grateful and mindful in the new year.
Nobody’s Too Old for Blanket Forts
My friend and I built a blanket fort for our Christmas party. I weighed the first sheet down with Biology textbooks, and my friend tied sheer lashings to make the fort taller.
We were going to eat the buttery lunchmeat burritos I’d baked in the oven, but my friend would only eat one. I guess they were leaving room for hot cocoa.
An hour later, now we’ve made some hot cocoa from those microwaveable packets, and we’re sipping out of our very warm coffee cups while we work on today’s writing prompt.
It’s Christmas time! Happy Holidays!
After attending video church with my mom, Burton Community Christian Church, I was prepared to take a day off 🤯
And ended up writing an ode to God anyway 😄 Have a blessed day y’all ❤️🙏
I’m not exactly taking a Christmas break… It’s my mom’s birthday on Wednesday, so I’m making cake and presents to celebrate! Excited to do the next challenge tomorrow! 🙂 Thanks you guys!
I helped my parents get out and put up the inside Christmas decorations before heading to my work’s Christmas party. On the way home, I looked at Christmas lights in the neighborhood.
Taking time to watch TV with a husband who thought I forgot him. He enjoyed 3 hours of time with me, before coming back to the computer to write.
We listened to and sang some Christmas hymns, and then I worked on some Christmas gifts this afternoon 🙂
Not exactly Christmas related, but I enjoyed watching the big linemen slide into the end zone to make snow angels and celebrate the last Buffalo Bills touchdown today.
Attended church and then went over to a friend’s house for fun Christmas festivities
I put up my Christmas tree and decorated it while listening to Christmas music. I also made some Christmas gifts for some of my coworkers.
Listened to the new album with Forrest and Jvke while finishing up my doodle for Google entry before it’s due on Wednesday… lol

Sitting in my living room lit only by the soft glow of the Christmas tree lights and warmth of my fireplace while I watch my beloved Packers take on the Bears!
Went shopping with my mom after church and got a gift for my sister whom I drew in our annual gift exchange. Probably gonna play a game of euchre with the fam after dinner.
PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE IN HEAVEN
The phone would ring
And a request was laid,
For a batch of my mom’s
Peanut Butter Fudge to be made.
Whether here close at home,
Or in a far away land
Ingredients were ready
And always on hand.
An ordinary recipe of fudge it maybe
But the secret ingredient
Made it mom’s specialty.
With the usual items
Like sugar and fluff
The care she took,
Just does not say enough.
For when he’d receive this carefully wrapped batch
The LOVE she added was what no one could match!
Now he’s gone and the phone cannot ring,
I wonder at times if it were possible to bring,
A delivery to him in Heaven above
of the PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE made with her unending LOVE!
I miss you everyday big brother and would love to make a special delivery to you! Love,
Your “favorite” sister.
