Submissions are now open for the School of Kingdom Writers quarterly writing contest! This summer we’re accepting short stories on the theme “Breaking of Bread.”
Bread, literal and as a metaphor, permeates the biblical narrative and our modern day life experience. You might say that bread is elemental to human life.
“Breaking bread” typically means to come together in community, but Jesus was also the bread broken for us through his death on the cross.
You may apply this theme literally, metaphorically, or allegorically. Use your imagination and don’t be to be creative with your application of the theme.
Learn more about the theme from the School of Kingdom Writers here.
