Introduce Yourself

Hi! I’m Hannah Stiff, a 24 year old single living in Prince Edward Island, the land of Anne. When I’m not designing wedding florals or teaching ESL and music, I write with an eye for a future career in short stories and novels.

What genres do you write?

I write historical and realistic fiction mainly, but have dabbled in sci-fi and fantasy a couple of times.

Is there a core theme/message that inspires your writing?

I want all my writing to feature good, but not perfect heroes, ones that challenge and encourage my readers to live well and live for others.

What’s the biggest challenge you face for your writing today?

The time, always the time! I struggle carving out a part in my day to sit down and scribble. I know a good writer only gets better with more writing, and so I’m working towards writing at least one short story per month this year. ( Yes, you can laugh at me for my pathetic resolution, I did too.)

Would you rather fight a bear or swim with a shark?

Fight a bear; I do better with four legged beasts than finned ones.🐻✊

What’s your favorite resource from The Company?

I really appreciate the Company’s writing challenges! With time being my personal nemesis, I find when someone else sets rules and deadlines for me I really excel in producing work!
