This is my first time participating in the 90-Day Novel Challenge. I’m wondering, though, how I can use the Novel Matrix in non-fiction (besides the Big World Philosophical Conflict)?
I’ve already started on a topic God wants to me cover, but I need advice or examples on how I could possibly incorporate the other parts of the Novel Matrix to make the book more creative and less of a bore. I have just been dumping information and facts in there, so it feels more like an academic read.
Hi Angelique. The Novel Matrix method will really only apply to narrative (story-based) manuscripts. A lot of non-fiction books incorporate story and could absolutely use the Novel Matrix, but it doesn’t sound like yours does, so the Novel Matrix might not be the right fit.
Is there a compelling story component to your book?
