Over the past couple of weeks we’ve sent you some emails about our apprenticeship program. If your interest is piqued, now is the time to apply.
This will be a real adventure. If you’re serious about becoming a professional novelist, our full-time apprenticeship is a path that works. You’re going to go deeper in your faith, grow in huge ways, and write your best work ever (and actually finish it!).
And you’re going to meet a lot of amazing people along the way.
There’s no cost to apply, and the application is not a commitment. Your application starts a conversation. Then we can talk and pray together, and you can decide if you feel it would be the right fit for you.
We officially list our application deadline as May 15 (that’s today!). This is a squishy deadline. The program begins in the fall and we’ve accepted apprentices in the past as late as July. As long as we still have seats available in the program, we’ll continue to consider applications as they come in.
However, we say May 15 for a reason. It takes time to process your application, and it takes time to get you connected with housing and other logistics to move to Cambridge, Ohio. Applying by May 15 gives us plenty of time to do everything that needs to be done with minimal stress, for you and for us.
If you’re interested in this fall’s apprenticeship, I encourage you to apply as soon as possible. As long as you have some kind of writing sample available (like a short story, novel chapter, or essay you’ve written), the application will probably take about an hour.
